Ps3 poker game
You should get it in order to sit around and play poker with some fantastic licensed characters and listen to the hilarious dialog. If there's one thing that Telltale games has proved over the years it's that they know how to capture what makes an established series so great. It's truly like you are sitting down and playing poker with these characters, and the conversations and lines of dialog that you hear are incredibly funny.
I've laughed out loud numerous times while playing this game. As for the gameplay it's what you would expect from a poker game. You get to play Omaha and Texas Hold'em and can unlock some sweet prizes. It's perfectly enjoyable but unfortunately technical issues do plague the game.
Every now and then the game will freeze for a second or two in the middle of playing. It doesn't ruin the game, but it is a noticeable issue. The only other issue with the game is that after you unlock everything there's not much reason to keep playing, unless you just love poker. But even then once the dialog starts repeating most of the magic in this game fades away.
Still even with it's issues "Poker Night 2" is another great game from Telltale. They once again prove that they know how to capture what makes these characters, and the works of fiction that they come from, so great.
Even more impressive is how they manage to bring several characters from several different series and put them together into a good poker game. All in all you can consider me impressed with this game. It's a lot of fun and super hilarious. People are so damn easy to anger when it comes down to video games.
Do they even realize the Poker Night franchise is like a mini-game made by People are so damn easy to anger when it comes down to video games. Do they even realize the Poker Night franchise is like a mini-game made by the folks at Telltale? This isn't a normal franchise that a dev will invest on. Telltale's employees were going to get paid for nothing since they were ahead of time on their schedule for their main games. So, they decided to work on some other game in-between and that's how Poker Night 1 and 2 saw the light of day.
Alright, so maybe it won't justify the occasional freezes, but at least you can't expect it to be a big budget blockbuster like GTA, for the love of Miyamoto! Yeah, it does freeze a lot. And it is annoying. And it will indeed affect my rating. Now let's move on, shall we? This game is funny. You're bound to know a least one of the 4 characters sitting at the table - they are so diverse and they all have their own fans. The interaction between them is hilarious.
Whoever wrote the dialogues for this game should do stand up. The conversations keep you entertained and are very similar to real life poker games - of course, you don't talk with robots or talking dogs, but you will chat about all sorts of things.
It has a relaxed laid-back feeling to it which is, to me, essential in poker games. The character animations are nicely done and so are the graphics, considering this isn't a big budget game. The music is especially good. It adds an atmosphere to the game for sure. Once you unlock stuff, you end up unlocking new "levels" that come with new songs as well, so there's a lot of diversity here for a poker game.
Now, this game only is playable offline, so the IA had to be good. And it is pretty good for a AI. Sure, it will sometimes behave abnormally going all in with just a pair of 6's with no cards on the table yet , but most of the time, it will simulate real players in a pretty believable manner. It can bluff relatively well. After some hours, you can identify the AI's behavior and have a pretty good idea of what to come, but it's still better than the vast majority of poker AI's out there.
Poker Night's AI will not let you win easily, that's for sure, but it is not "cheating" at all. The computer often deals itself straights, while I never received one. The graphics th emselves are teeny tiny. I have yet to figure out how to save a game easily or progress to the next round of the "career. He exemplifies poor sportsmanship. The commentator's repetitive lame jokes and comments grow tiresome.
Read full review. I played the gmae on xbox a few years ago. It was awesome. The single player is decent, but the multiplayer, keeps track of nothing. Basically you start off with 25K and if you play for 10 minutes or 10 hours and have 10 dollars or 10 million dollars, as soon as you exit, you lose everything and when you log back in you start off with 25K again.
I am going to play this game some more, hopefully it will improve or my outlook on it will improve. I did read some reviews on amazon and whatnot and they did say that there was not a lot of online people playing at any given time. I am not a fan of playing single player so please take that into consideration Read full review. Great Poker games. It's old, but the game is the same. A great way to play if you have an older PS3 system.

But you play against the AI till you're better at it, then you go online and play multiplayer. Which still isn't like playing in real life, but they have video and voice chat on these multiplayer poker games too. Some people like online poker so much, there are web-sites raking well over 7-figures. I'm guessing wb meant like if you're betting against other people at the table the dealer shouldn't give you tips. I think most games that are officially considered poker, you bet against other players.
Games like Blackjack, you bet against the house and if you tip the dealer occasionally when you win, I've always gotten good tips from the dealers. Mortus yeah, in addition to Google I checked Playstation Network. That's where I got the High Stakes Vegas game from. But there's not much information on these poker games available there. I was hoping someone on these boards had played some of them and could offer opinions.
