I have made the car more stable but the car is slightly tight mid corner. I have also increased the speed the car reaches at the end of the straights. I also changed the 4th Gear ratio to hopefully give a little more speed than your rivals. Another factor is the width of Darlington being very narrow and so accuracy is needed. I simply adjusted the Rear Spoiler to provide extra grip in turns one and two. The only improvement is to the 4th Gear ratio to provide an extra bit of speed at the end of the back straight making this your best place to overtake a car, especially on the last lap!

The presets for the gear ratios are the only thing different. Just keep in mind that you want to maximize acceleration and speed as much as possible while maintaining the appropriate speed and acceleration for that specific track.

For example, Martinsville should have a huge acceleration bar and a small top speed bar while Daytona should have a large top speed bar and a smaller acceleration bar.

The wedge can also differ depending on how you drive the car. These are just the real ones. The track is very steep and the shoulder is flat. When you go too low and down partially onto the shoulder, you tend to spin out and fly back up onto the race track and get smoked by oncoming traffic. It is better to be tight rather than loose. Try to qualify well and get ahead of traffic alot so if you do spin out, you can steer the car off the road.

But the driving, racing and setup models were superb. So it's safe to say that 06 is probably No. Actually, short of the setup stuff that PK and I have discussed in other threads, I'm really pleased with I like the team stuff okay as I've gotten pretty good at switching and getting all my guys in the top 20, and in the race at Bristol, I got 3 of four teammates in the top 5.

I love the way Bristol and some of the other tracks feel this year, just flat out balls to the wall racing. I love the fight to the top mode and feel that it is one of the top modes in any sports videogame I've ever played, and with the slower pace this year, it's just perfect.

I raced almost a full season before I got a truck offer, and almost another full season before I got a Busch offer. I love that the CPU actually causes wrecks this year, especially at the tracks they should be causing wrecks at. I raced a lap race at Bristol and 40 laps were under caution, none of which were caused by me.

I've noticed that since I got an HDTV, the customization stuff and some of the sim stuff doesn't bother me like it used too. The conveinence of being able to sit on my couch and stare at a 60 inch screen greatly outweights the customization factor. I'm still getting used to having less sim options in a NASCAR game, but let's face it, we'll never have the amount of realism that Papy put into their racing games on a console. BB code is On. Smilies are On.

Trackbacks are Off. Pingbacks are Off.
